Dear Friend,
You’ve told me that one of the most important challenges you are having is in the area of healing. You or your loved ones have been attacked with all manner of cancer; bodily discomforts such as arthritis, bad dental work, skin rashes and back problems; system challenges with calcium levels, Crohn’s disease, acid reflux and kidney issues; and mental or emotional challenges with depression, anxiety, seizures, ADHD and autism.
As a blood-bought child of God, you are entitled to receive healing in your body and deliverance from these issues. But, is being healed of a sickness God’s best for you? How about not getting sick in the first place? What if you could live in divine health and not need healing? Now, THAT’s God’s best for His children!
Thank God for skilled doctors and other medical practitioners whose lives are dedicated to the healing of our mortal bodies. If we add to their expertise and experience our faith in the word of God, we have a winning combination. However, don’t play the fool and wait until you’re diagnosed with a life-threatening condition to begin using your faith! If your faith wasn’t up to the level of keeping the condition away, are you confident that you can stop it from taking you out by applying your faith after the diagnosis?
You must exercise your faith the same way that you exercise your body. For instance, you might start off with walking, then build up to running, then finally to lifting weights. You don’t start off with heavy weights because your body can’t handle it.
The same goes for your faith for healing. Start using it on a headache. Rather than run to the aspirin bottle, use your faith. A headache isn’t usually life threatening. If you are unable to stop it with your faith, you can always take the pill, but you must start somewhere.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 NKVJ).
Hearing the word of God on Healing builds up your faith. Thereafter, if you’re faced with a life-threatening condition, you’re better prepared to use your faith on it because you’ve been hearing God’s Word on Healing and using it on other conditions in your body.
Above all else, you must first know that it is God’s will for you to be healed. Learn the key healing scriptures, confess them constantly and get them down inside your spirit while you’re well. Again, you don’t want to wait until you have chest pains in the early morning hours and can’t remember what the word of God says about you being healed.
Put the word of God on the condition, just like Jesus did when He was tempted of the devil after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. He told the devil what God’s Word said and the devil moved on to another subject and eventually left Jesus alone (Matt. 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13, NKJV).
