The Issue of Fear
By Dr. Betty R. Price

Isaiah 41:10 tells us: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. What a wonderful, reassuring scripture this is. You definitely need to memorize this one. It will comfort you any time fear tries to raise its ugly head, because we know where that fear is coming from. God has reassured us again and again that He is with us and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Then, of course, there is always 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. When I was tempted to be fearful, I would say over and over, “I am not afraid. I have power. I have love, and I have a sound mind.” I can tell all kinds of stories of how fearful I used to be, but I am happy to say that fear no longer has any authority over me. I conquered fear many years ago, and I refuse to allow it to come up against me ever again. We have God and His promises on our side. What more do we need to conquer anything that comes against us? How can we lose with what we have authority to use?

You can have victory over any of these issues we talked about. You know the solution lies in the Word of God, and your determination to do the Word can and will bring you success.
