What's On Your Mind?
By Dr. Betty Price

Whatever things are of good report are reputable, worth of the highest quality.

We believers should not fill our minds with junk, gossip, envy, strife, jealousy, and evil speaking.  Only that which is of good report.  If there is any virtue, excellence, and anything praiseworthy—we are to think on these things.  You need to memorize Philippians 4:8 so that when you are tempted to say something you don’t have any business saying, even though it may be true, don’t say it if it is not lovely and it is not of a good report.  I am so sensitive to what comes out of my mouth that if I say the wrong thing I will immediately ask for forgiveness.  I don’t want anything to be between me and God.

I know some people think that being a Christian has to be the most boring life there is.  They are so wrong.  It is a wonderful life.  I have been a Christian all of my life, and I have not regretted a moment of it.  I have had some hard times, but it was not because I was Christian.  It was because I was ignorant and did not know what God said in His Word.

Psalm 119:11 says, Your Word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against you.  If you have His Word in your heart and you are cleansed by the Word, you can make the right decisions.  You can have right thinking.  Psalm 119:105 says, Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.  It is a wonderful thing that we have all the answers that we need in God’s Word in order to live the victorious, overcoming life.
