Dwell on the Word, Not Your Circumstances
By Dr. Betty R. Price

I counsel with single women all the time who want to know, "Where is my husband? God let me down. How can I expect to have children, and I don’t even have a husband yet?"" I spend a lot of time praying and asking God for the right words to tell these women. All I can tell them is the same thing I tell women everywhere I minister: God is not a liar. He said He would give us the desires or our hearts if we delight ourselves in Him (Ps. 37.4). Why it doesn’t happen right away for some people? Frankly, I don’t know. If you have a question about this, you are going to have to get in your prayer closet with God and find out for yourself. Spend time with Him. Pray in the Spirit and seek the Lord until you get your answer. The Lord is Faithful; He is good, and He will honor His Word. I am a living witness of this. Research and meditate on these scriptures until they become alive to you, and then make them a part of your prayer life by confessing them daily: Psalm 37:4; Psalm 84:11; Mark 11:24; John 8:31-32 and John 15:7

As I said before, God is not a liar. You are going to have to choose to believe what you are experiencing, or you are going to have to believe God’s Word. If things are not going to have to believe God’s Word. If things are not going the way you want right now, you must continue with the Word. God will not let you down. He does not lie to us. If we are not living in the blessed state, it has to be something we are doing or maybe that the timing is just not right. We have to trust that we will have the manifestation of our prayers when it is the right time. We don’t know what is ahead of us, but He does. He has done so much for us.

We’ve Come this Far by Faith
How the Power of Faith Transforms Lives!

When I was a kid, I grew up watching EIF on WTTG FOX 5 DC. Apostle Price would start each service with the words, For We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight and So Then Faith Cometh by Hearing, and Hearing by the Word of God. Those words stick in my mind because my father would always say them. My father never went to church when I was a kid and sadly passed away when I was 15. However, he always watched EIF every Sunday. My father said once that Apostle Price was the best preacher on TV besides Billy Graham. I remember him telling me that Apostle Price changed his life and that Apostle Price had said that you can talk to God anywhere, at any time, just like a friend.

I remember hearing my father pray once while he was working on our farm tractor. His prayer was amazing. When I asked him where he learned to do that, he said it was just something he picked up from TV. Thank you, Apostle Price, for making a difference in my father's life. I believe that he was a stronger Christian because of watching you on TV. Anne Webster
