April 2026
Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus!
Did you know that God is meticulously intentional with every word of Scripture? Every passage carries
manifold wisdom and divine purpose. The palm tree, in particular, is a biblical symbol of Israel, and the
celebration of Palm Sunday points to the Kingship of our Messiah.
In Exodus 15:27, the Israelites came to a place called Palms, in Hebrew, “Elim”. There, they found
twelve wells and seventy palm trees. Palm trees, like the olive and fig trees, symbolize Israel, and God’s inclusion of
the number seventy reveals His intentional design. Scripture is filled with divine symbolism, often revealed
through numbers and patterns.
Consider just a few examples of the significance of 7 and 70:
- Genesis 10 lists 70 nations in the Table of Nations.
- Extra-biblical writings tell us 70 angels were assigned to those nations.
- Palm Sunday occurred 7 days before Jesus’ Resurrection.
-
The Feasts of Unleavened Bread and Tabernacles (Sukkot) each lasted 7 days,
pointing to redemption and God dwelling with His people.
- Priests were consecrated over 7 days (Leviticus 8).
- God established the Sabbath on the 7th day.
- Jacob/Israel initially entered Egypt with 70 family members.

Jesus fulfills every feast and He is our Sabbath rest. God wanted Israel to remember that He delivered them
from bondage, and He wants us to remember the bondage He has delivered us from as well.
Scripture also highlights the importance of the number 12:
- Jacob was blessed to become the father of 12 sons, the tribes of Israel.
- Jesus appointed 12 Apostles, the Apostles of the Lamb.
- In Luke 10, Jesus gave authority not only to the Twelve but also to the Seventy.
When the disciples and the seventy returned rejoicing that demons were subject to them in Jesus’ Name,
Jesus declared that He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. What was Jesus saying? He was saying
that as they operated in His authority and cast out demons, the enemy’s kingdom was being brought low.
Brothers and sisters, we too have been given power and authority in Jesus’ Name, but our joy must rest not
in the works we do, but in His Name alone.
Family, during this gift of Spring, we are called to evangelize by lovingly inviting all people to be reconciled to
God through Jesus Christ. The Body of Christ is not elitist, we are inclusive, walking in love and truth.
In the service of the King,

PS: Just as Our Heavenly Father was very intentional with the number of Apostles and the tribes of Israel, let us choose to be just as intentional with the authority He has given us in these last days, to live an
overcoming life to the fullest, in the Name of Jesus, our risen Savior and the King of Kings.
