I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying being ministered to by my son Pastor Fred, Jr. While I was ministering for over 50 years, I had no idea I would have a son and that he would follow in my footsteps, so to speak and teach God’s word. But I am pleased that he does. His mother, Dr. Betty and I also thoroughly enjoy watching Pastor Fred, Jr. online. Dr. Betty has become quite handy with the remote control and knows when and how to use YouTube, Facebook and CCC Online.
Dr. Betty and I, at 88 and 86 years old respectfully, are well into our Golden Years, or whatever that is supposed to mean. For us we are enjoying the fruit of our labor and relaxing and taking in life. Like you, we enjoy time with our growing family, listening to God’s word, watching movies and eating good food.
We also are dealing with the effects of the global pandemic and COVID-19. Therefore, we are sheltering in place and abiding by the authority’s recommendations regarding staying at home, wearing face masks and washing our hands thoroughly. We certainly hope you are all doing the same.
Then, right in the middle of a global pandemic, a white police officer kneels on another black man’s neck, until he dies, on national TV. Pastor Fred, Jr. said he does not believe such racism and hate will ever go away as long as there is sin in the world. We in the Body of Christ must be committed to try to eradicate racism with all our being.

Regardless of where we are or where you are, we still need to stay in God’s word. Satan does not take a vacation; he has no sick days and is constantly seeking how to steal, kill and destroy. To that end, we need to remain vigilant and aware of his devices. We need to beware of his lies and deceptions and stay prayed up.
James 4:7, NKJV: Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
We are admonished to resist the wiles of Satan. Note, we have a part to play. Continue to study God’s word, pray without ceasing, resist the devices of Satan and expect God to respond on our behalf.

PS: Earlier this year, during February, Black History Month, Pastor Fred, Jr. sent a letter, like this one, about prayer and the issues of racism in America and he offered my book and tape series, Race, Religion and Racism. The response to his letter was marginal and not many of the books and tapes moved. Now, with the murdering of George Floyd, we cannot keep the series on the shelves, so to speak. Do not wait until we run out. This series was taught 23 years ago but unfortunately, it is more relevant today than at any time in history.
