Thankful
1 Timothy 2:1,2 (NKJV): Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

The only solution is prayer.

Why is one’s race an issue in America? Black Americans and others have been protesting and marching for years, but this issue continues to raise its ugly head. What is the solution? In the natural, we have an obligation to use the freedoms we have been given, to protest against injustice wherever it appears. As Christians, we do not have to leave it at that, we have God on our side and our faith. We have the right and ability to pray and have our prayers answered. We add to our natural actions our spiritual connection and believe God for the difference.

Depending on whom you ask, the issue of race or racism is determined by one’s perspective. If you look at all people in the world as blood bought men and women for whom Jesus died, you wouldn’t consider yourself racist. If, however, you see people based on their skin color or other physical traits, you may be racist or at the very least, racially prejudiced. There is a difference.

Apostle Price mentioned in his world-renowned series, "Race, Religion and Racism" (RRR) that racism is not about skin color, it is about the economic power one group has over another. Now, one could be racially prejudiced, thinking their race as superior to another, but true racism is about power. It’s difficult, but not impossible for a Black person to be racist, because they are not usually the captains of industry or the wealthiest in the country. They can, however, be racially prejudiced, which is shameful.
LOVE GIFT
In recent years, with the advent of smartphones, we’ve seen a proliferation of images of police (power) over others, especially minorities, many of whom are found to be unarmed. This has reignited the decade’s long issue of racism. Is what we’re seeing racist behavior or are there other causes, such as insufficient training of law enforcement, or a change in police tactics to a more militaristic approach to the citizens? Over time, statistics may be the determining factor. In the meantime, God’s word says we are to pray for those in authority over us so we can live a peaceable life, that includes the police.

Apostle Price exhaustively taught on the subject of race and racism and his teachings have become excellent study on the subject of racism in the church. The books, CD’s and DVD’s have also become much sought after on college campuses as reference material. I recently tackled the topic in response to a rash of what appears to be racially motivated attacks on unarmed African-American men, in a message entitled, Black Lives.

We have a responsibility to attempt to correct injustices or man’s inhumanity to man, whenever we can, but we must never forget to pray to Our Heavenly Father for intervention. The information contained in Apostle Price’s Race, Religion and Racism teaching will enlighten you, broaden your perspective and hopefully change your thoughts in areas where change is needed. His book, Answered Prayer Guaranteed, will show you how to pray and get the answers you so diligently seek.
