Return to Campmeeting The books had so blessed them that Reverend Price promised to send “Dad Hagin” $5,000 to help with the founding of the Rhema Bible Training Center. The Prices didn’t have that kind of money when the promise was made, but they followed through, and continued to give every year. In 1978, at the age of 44, she said, “we had a surprise in our house.” She got pregnant, but her husband was not happy about it. “Brother Hagin prophesied to him that we were going to have a boy and that he would be the greatest blessing in our lives,” she said. She recalled: “We shared many years of wonderful fellowship with the Hagin family.” For 18 years, Dr. Betty said, she and Reverend Price would give $50,000 a year from their personal income. But eventually, there came a time when the fellowship was broken, and it remained broken for 30-some years. This year it was wonderfully re-established. Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin passed from this world in September 2003. Apostle Price passed on February 12 last year. He was 89. When Dr. Hagin’s son, Kenneth W. Hagin Jr., introduced Dr. Betty R. Price at this year’s Kenneth W. Hagin Ministries’ Campmeeting, the crowd gave her a great ovation. The Price family had choice seating on the front row. It was the first time they had attended Campmeeting in more than 30 years. It was an historic reunion. Dr. Betty noted that she prays for the Hagin family every day. Among the other speakers were Kenneth W. Hagin Jr., Lynette Hagin, Craig W. Hagin, Denise Hagin Burns, Charles Cowan, Darrell Huffman, Dr. Frederick K. Price Jr., Earl Glisson, Mark Hankins, Mark Boer and Tommy Pickens III. She and then-Pastor Frederick K.C. Price had attended the first Campmeeting in 1973 and had been faithful supporters of the event from its beginning through 18 years. | ||
