4 Basic truths of Christian life

By Apostle Frederick K.C. Price

Let us now consider some important biblical principles, which can determine how victorious you will be in your Christian walk. The victorious Christian life is based upon a positive confession of four basic biblical truths.

A positive affirmation of the following four truths will compel Satan to acknowledge our authority and our victory over him. This will in turn break the enemy’s power to successfully bind, hinder, and oppress you.

God expects us to confess:
  1. What We Are in Christ
  2. Where We Are in Christ
  3. What We Possess in Christ
  4. What We Can Do in Christ
When you get a revelation of these four things, you are on your way to the top. You are on your way to victorious Christian living. You are on your way to living the kind of life that Christ gave His life for.

Christ did not give up His life for you to be defeated. He did not give up His life for you to be walked on like a doormat. Christ did not come down here and defeat death, hell, the grave, Satan and every demon for you to be laid up on some bed of affliction for 25 years. That was not why He came. Jesus could have remained in heaven and you would have still had the curse.

Although the vast majority of Christians are experiencing a whipped and defeated lifestyle, and because God does not reach down supernaturally and change it, they think that their situation must be the will of God. They fail to realize, because they have never been taught, that it is not up to God, it is up to us, whether we live defeated or victorious.

In Matthew 18:18, Jesus says:

Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Notice that the word earth comes before the word heaven in each one of the statements. Notice that the binding and loosening starts on earth. It does not start in heaven and come down to earth. This lets me know that it is my choice, that I have something to do with it, and that thrills me.

We need to look and these four biblical truths in detail and learn how to apply them to our lives.
