Mother’s Day is now over. This one day each year is amazingly special for so many women. Unfortunately, there are probably just as many who, despite this being such a special day, for them it’s just another day.
Jesus as God, had to come to earth in the attire of man, a body, for salvation to take place. It wouldn’t have done any good for Him to arrive as a Spirit that mankind couldn’t identify with. Therefore, He had to come through the same channel we all did, a woman. Joseph, Mary and Jesus weren’t the first family, but they were THE FIRST FAMILY in the sense of the kind of family that they were. Can you imagine being chosen as the mother of Jesus and or being His earthly father, brother, cousin, etc.? These are some things that make you just go, hmmm.
One of the many things I’ve taken from my dad, Apostle Price’s Christian Family series, is the realization that with Adam and Eve, God established the family before anything else. Before ministry, before work and before all of the issues of life, the family has been deemed the most important. We’ve all heard it said as we age, the most important things in life are family and health. No matter how much money you have or don’t have, whether you’re living in a mansion or you’re homeless, family is what really counts in life.
I’ve got members in my own family who I don’t agree with on many of the issues of this life, such as politics. But I have full confidence that these selfsame family members will be there for me in my time of need, no matter the issue or the hour of the day.
Genesis 2:18 NKJV:
And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."

Men are providers or should be. Women were created to be the man’s helpmate. Men, allow your wives to help you. You don’t get extra points in heaven for running the family all by yourselves. Let your wife help you! It doesn’t mean you’re less than a man for doing so, especially if you’re allowing her to work and assist you in providing for the financial wellbeing of the family.
