Thankful
Dear Friend,

Greetings in the matchless Name of Jesus! I am excited to write to you about the divine privilege we have to go to God in prayer. My father, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, had 5 primary topics he ministered on, with some exceptions. They are Faith, Prosperity, The Holy Spirit, Healing, and Prayer, but not necessarily in that order. Though he also ministered mightily on The Christian Family and Race, Religion, and Racism, the 5 main topics were what he taught most often. Therein lies his moniker, The Godfather of Faith. Today, I want to talk about Prayer and what does God’s Word have to say about this often-misunderstood topic.

There is a real lack of understanding of how prayer operates, and because of this, God continues to be accused of things He had nothing to do with. There are different kinds of prayer for different circumstances, and each kind of prayer has its own set of spiritual rules that govern it. You need to learn what the Bible has to say about prayer to get all of your prayers answered. For example, does God answer your prayer just because you are sincere or have a need? Does God need man’s cooperation to operate in this earthly realm? Or does God need man’s permission to operate in this earthly realm? Learn about the Prayer of Agreement, Faith, Intercession, Burden, Praise & Worship, and Dedication.

God wants a relationship with us, His children, and prayer is a means of communicating with Him. Prayer, combined with faith in the Word of God, is a channel through which His power can be released to meet our needs, allowing Him to get involved in the circumstances of our lives.

When we pray, we should expect to get answers. Prayer is not a gamble where you take a chance of losing as you do of hitting the jackpot. Every time we go before God in prayer, we win (we get an answer) if we are praying correctly.

Mark 11:24 is the Scripture that governs the Prayer of Faith. This prayer is a petition to God for you. “Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Jesus did not say that you would receive something that resembled what you prayed for. No! He said you would get whatever you ask when you pray.
LOVE GIFT
I taught a message on prayer, and asked pertinent questions about prayer that exposed many potential pitfalls believers have learned about prayer. I dissected “The Lord’s Prayer” to show how to use it as a model to execute confident prayers. Also, I defined a lifestyle of prayer as also a lifestyle of worship. Is Our Heavenly Father obligated to respond to prayers that are not in accordance with His will? Does He even hear them? Do you pray to God more than once for what you believe you receive? How or what do you pray for if you really don’t know God’s will?

Finally, God’s Word says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). When we pray, we recognize that God is not limited or bound by circumstances. However, prayer should never be random or pointless. God watches over His Word to perform it because it is the “living” Word in your mouth that brings results. Prayer also affects the lives of others, as well. First Timothy 2:1 exhorts Believers that “first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

So, you see, prayer isn’t a one size fits all. You can’t just pray for any person in any setting or context, just because they need or have requested prayer. How do you pray for them, for example, if they don’t even know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord?

Your prayers are not an affront to Our Heavenly Father! He delights in the prayers of His children. If He has provided for it and promised it, you are fully within the rights He has given you to ask for it . . . and you should pray for it in faith to receive it.

You are a wonderful blessing to Angel and me, and we appreciate your willingness to stand with us in the work of Ever Increasing Faith Ministries with your prayers and financial support. Your support allows us to continue to minister the truth, not only to the world but to you as well.

When you send your love gift today, I will send you the first lesson in my teaching on prayer, A New Way to Pray? Thank you for being part of the Ever Increasing Faith Ministries family. We are truly touching the world together.

In the Service of the King,
Dr. Frederick K. Price

PS: The child of God who does not pray will miss out on so much that God has in store for his or her life. I encourage you today to become a person of prayer—one who in faith claims and receives what God has promised. This is your privilege as a child of Our Heavenly Father.
