Dear Friend,
Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus!
Child of God, are you in need of help today? The enemy may be trying to distract you from spending time with God by distracting you from being in His Word and neglecting to pray as often as you used to. Satan ultimately wants to weaken our confidence in God’s promises. But when we return to being steadfast in prayer and in studying God’s Word (and declaring it), we position ourselves to walk in divine blessings. God has already provided deliverance from fear and danger. Our Lord has also granted us angelic assistance and victory over adversity!
We all need to reboot our faith at times, and a great place to start would be to meditate on Psalm 91. It is rich in God’s promises, and it will strengthen your walk with God and calm every fear. Though it was primarily written to Israel, it remains relevant for us today as followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself even quoted Psalm 91:11–12 in Matthew and Luke, in the fourth chapter. The blessings of protection, deliverance, and security promised in Psalm 91 are contingent upon fulfilling the conditions established in the first two verses.

The Psalm begins, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” As we consistently abide in Him, angelic protection and assistance become byproducts of that relationship. Interestingly, when angels aided people in Scripture, there is no record of anyone asking for it—they were simply doing the will of God. They led a committed lifestyle of complete dependence upon God. So, trust in God, cling to His Word, and pray in the Spirit!
Psalm 91:2 declares, “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’” As a result of knowing and believing the Word of God, our hearts then become filled with faith. It is in that space that we boldly declare that God is our refuge, deliverer, redeemer, provider, sanctifier, and healer! If we are to experience the confidence and protection of Psalm 91, we must continually confess God’s Word and trust Him, for He is El Elyon—the Most High God! Staying planted in fellowship with God keeps us safely under the shadow of His divine care, even in these current tumultuous times.
My covenant friend, remain consistent in the Word of God. Declare that God is your refuge and fortress. Refuse to allow fear, compromise, or unbelief to distract you from your loving Savior. The promises of Psalm 91 remain true for you today! Know that our God is faithful to watch over His Word and perform it in your life. Evil may try to come after you, but it will not own you! God is with you, and He knows your name. By faith, your best days are still to come!
In the service of the King,
