Dear Friend,
My mom, Betty Ruth Scott, had to be among one of the prettiest little girls from the tiny railroad town of Gloster, Mississippi. Her family left the town when she was nine years old and headed west to Los Angeles. Mom is one of the most popular and beloved persons at Crenshaw Christian Center, being the spouse of dad, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, the founder of the church.
Apostle Price, who launched Crenshaw Christian Center and the Ever Increasing Faith telecast, passed from this life on February 12, 2021, at the age of 89. Although they struggled greatly early in their marriage, it endured for more than 67 years and became something beautiful. Their maturation in the Word grew to the extent that their names became known worldwide.
Always upbeat about the Word of God, prayer, and life in general, Dr. Betty wrote in volume one of her book Wisdom from Above:
"The Word has brought me from poverty to wealth, from sickness to health, from discouragement to a life of peace and joy. The Bible teaches that God is no respecter of persons, and what He has done for me He will do for anyone who is willing to learn and obey His Word."
Greatly beloved, Dr. Betty, as she is known, reached her 89th birthday on February 9, 2023, and she is still going strong. Called A Timeless Woman of God, Dr. Betty was featured in the February 9 issue of the Los Angeles Sentinel newspaper. Let’s hear from Dr. Betty:
"Hi, everybody. Do you know that the life of the Believer is one of constant growth, marked by goodness, righteousness and truth? Maturity in God’s Word comes gradually and is gained through experience as we walk in the Spirit. The Scriptures tell us to be filled with the Spirit and live as “children of light" (Ephesians 5:8). As we grow more and more into Christ’s likeness, there is always a fresh newness to life. We Believers need to live according to what Our Heavenly Father requires of us.

This type of prayer allows the Believer to pray on behalf of others. First Timothy 2:1 exhorts Believers that "first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men." I also talk about the prayer of faith (Mark 11:23- 24) and praying in other tongues I Corinthians 14:2 and 4."
