Dear Friend,

Are you addicted to credit? Is the easy availability of buying on time tying up your finances to the degree where you are up to your ears in debt? Have you signed up with a company that assures you they will help you get out of debt, only to assess you more fees and give you very little in return? If so, you’re experiencing one of the major issues facing the friends and partners of Ever Increasing Faith Ministries, that of debt cancellation.

There are numerous secular resources available to help you get out of debt. But, what’s in it for them? Maybe the best thing to do is to see what the Word of God says about your condition. You need to ask yourself, “How did I get into this situation in the first place?” It’s one thing to try to figure out how to get out of debt – but you must first determine what caused you to get into debt.

Was it a lack of discipline, planning, budgeting – or self-control? Remember, if you’re in debt, you received goods and/or services and you are obligated to pay the vendor, sometimes with interest. If you’re heavily in debt, you’ve got to create a budget that works, one that allows you to pay off your debt over time while continuing to manage your day-to-day activities.

Your Heavenly Father wants you to prosper, but only in relation to His word. He does not want you to acquire things so that you can appear prosperous, when in fact you owe your soul to bill collectors.

Try this: give yourself out of debt. That’s right; include in your budget a set amount, a tithe and/or an offering. Also include an amount for yourself. If you’re giving the Lord 10%, give yourself 10% as an allowance, over and above your day-to-day expenses. It may be difficult, but anything worth doing isn’t necessarily easy. Just look at what it takes to lose weight. It was easy to put the weight on, but it seems to take more effort to get the weight off. The same is true for giving your way out of debt, but it can be done.

How do I know? I did it!

Betty and I were so far in debt, our debts had debts. As a result, they repossessed my TV and my car. They didn’t care how many payments I had already made, they repossessed these items because I wasn’t living up to my promise to pay for them.

So, I decided to give my way out of debt and I did exactly what I just told you to do. I created a budget that included some money for God, some for my family, some for bills and some for me. It took time, but I/we gave our way out of debt. I still use this principal today, with various bank accounts for specific things. You can do this too!

Start today with your response to this letter. Begin the process of giving yourself out of debt by sowing a financial blessing into this ministry. Every gift makes an eternal impact into the lives of those reached by Ever Increasing Faith Ministries.

Watch and see how God will begin to bless you and your family because of sowing into the work of the Kingdom of God.

In the Service of the King,
