MINISTERING MANNA
Christ Has Made You Free
By Dr. Delores Jones

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” - John 8:31

Are you at peace or prison in your mind?  There are people in jail who are freer within their minds than people who walk the streets everyday who are literally imprisoned within their own minds.  What is your choice? Peace or prison?

A person can experience a positive or negative effect toward his or her own choice based on whether the choice to be at peace, which produces freedom, or to be imprisoned which produces confinement.  It is like the wet that goes with the water—it is a fact!

God in His infinite mercy has made man to be a free moral agent and gives him the opportunity of his own free will to make his choices.  Along with man’s determination, he then willingly or willfully makes choices good, bad or indifferent.  Remember this, Jesus cannot and will not violate or override man’s will.  If He does not override man’s will He will not allow you or anyone else to make choices on behalf of another man, person or thing.  (Joshua 24:15)

Member Spotlight: Brenda Daniel

Brenda Daniel (aka Ms. D.) has been a member of CCC for 32 years and an employee for 27. “ I am so thankful that God planted me in this local Body, and gave me the awesome opportunity to literally grow up inside a spiritual home, with the greatest parents and examples of leadership and faith on the planet,” she says. “All that I have become as a leader in the Kingdom, has been a direct result of my spiritual lineage.  It was here at CCC where I received my foundational development, discovered my place of service in the Kingdom, received training for the call on my life, validated as one called, and then sent out to serve in that calling for over 10 years on behalf of the Church. I’m eternally grateful.”

On November 19th and 20th here at Crenshaw Christian Center, Brenda’s play Three Women & You is being hosted by the Family Network.  The play is about the lives of three Biblical women: Abigail, Elizabeth and The Samaritan Woman.  The plights and struggles of the women continue to speak today, as their stories are brought to life in demonstration, through the stories of three contemporary women with very contemporary issues. The play is based on Brenda’s book by the same name.

Three Women & You takes you on a journey with Ms. Elizabeth, who has covered up the pain of an unfulfilled dream, by pouring herself into helping other. Then Sam, who is trapped by her own demons from her past, keeping her in a vicious cycle of bad relationships with unworthy men and finally Abigail, who tries to hold on in the face of an abusive relationship, but finds herself having to make the most difficult choice.

It was a result of Brenda’s call to Missions that moved her to ask God for a tool that would further support her and the work God has entrusted her with, hence, the birth of “Three Women & You.”   “I am believing God that this work will allow me to impact the lives of women and girls who are disenfranchised, without access to social, academic, and mostly spiritual resources in undeveloped countries around the world.  I have been well equipped in the Word of God to face the greatest of my own personal adversities by faith, and I want to share what I have been given to help others to do the same,” Brenda explains. “I’ve learned that nothing of great significance comes without “faith” “courage” “adversity” “humility” and “obedience”… As a result of my up bringing, I am alive today to give testimony of the same.”

Recipe of the Month: Mary’s Green Beans

CCC member Mary Ware is gearing up for the holidays with her scrumptious green beans. She says it’s a simple recipe for a family of four:

    Ingredients:
Two lbs. of fresh green beans
    Bacon
    Salt
    Red Pepper

    Preparation
Wash the green beans well, snap them and set aside. Boil 3 cups of water in a pot, add a ½ teaspoon of salt. Fry slices of bacon. Add green beans, a dash of red pepper, 2 slices of crushed up bacon and 2 spoons of bacon drippings to boiling water. Allow green beans to cook slow for an hour and half. For extra flavor you may add one or two Irish potatoes. Serve while hot!
